After the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan last September, Atlee was set to collaborate with Pushpa The Rise (2021) actor Allu Arjun for his next directorial venture.
However, reports are circulating that the yet-untitled film has been called off merely four months before it was scheduled to go on floors.

The highly anticipated collaboration between Tollywood star Allu Arjun and acclaimed director Atlee Kumar has been abruptly shelved. Reports emerging from the Telugu industry suggest that the project encountered a significant obstacle due to unresolved financial negotiations.
Fresh reports suggest that Atlee demanded a staggering Rs 80 crores for the project. This hefty demand is believed to have prompted the producers to reconsider their stance, ultimately leading to the decision to withdraw from the collaboration.
According to the reports from a Telugu media outlet, Atlee is now set to explore alternative avenues. Speculation is rife that he is in conversation with a leading Bollywood superstar to take on the lead role in the movie.
Jawan Director To Now Work With Sikandar Star Salman Khan?
Amidst these rumours, another report has surfaced that Jawan director is in discussions for a major project with superstar Salman Khan. According to sources, the project will be officially announced soon. Atlee is currently in the process of finalising the script, with Sun Pictures producing the project.
As per a report by Telugu 360, filming for the project is slated to begin next year, given Salman Khan’s current commitment to his upcoming film Sikandar. News of Salman Khan’s discussions with Atlee for his next project has sparked a flurry of reactions from fans on X (formerly Twitter).
Earlier, Atlee shared insights into his discussions with various film personalities to an entertainment portal. He mentioned discussing with Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Vijay, and Allu Arjun. Atlee expressed that as cinema lovers, they don’t stick to a fixed plan but approach collaborations with love and enthusiasm.
