Awarapan 2 Look Leaked From Shoot In Rajasthan: Emraan Hashmi’s Rugged, Long Hair Look Creates Excitement Among Fans, Check Out The Videos

A first glimpse at Emraan Hashmi‘s metamorphosis for the upcoming sequel Awarapan 2 has been revealed online in the form of a leaked image from the sets. An image of the actor’s iconic character Shivam Pandit, who has been heavily shared online, will appear in the 2026 film, with a far more worn and battered appearance.

New Look Of Emraan Hashmi

Unlike in his most recent films, where he has kept his hair shorter and more styled, the leaked photo shows Hashmi with long, wavy hair that reaches his shoulders. The actor can be seen sporting a timeless pair of dark shades, a black scarf or stole to complement his all-black costume, and a dark T-shirt.

The visual style alludes to a shift towards a “noir” or “loner” character, evoking thoughts of global action heroes while staying true to the raw emotion of the 2007 debut. Information gathered from the set suggests that this style represents Shivam’s life after the events of the first instalment, portraying a man who has overcome significant challenges.

Change Of Director And Cast

Director Nitin Kakkar (known for Filmistaan) takes over from Mohit Suri, who helmed the 2007 original, for the sequel. Even the supporting cast of the film has generated buzz. The female protagonist, Disha Patani would reportedly be portraying a role far different from her typical glamorous roles; she is photographed in basic ethnic costume while filming in Rajasthan.

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi has joined the film, which is a huge casting coup. The 55-year-old Azmi recently announced in an interview that she will be portraying the lead antagonist, marking a first for her acting career. Hashmi’s character, Shivam, in the high-stakes action drama, is believed to bring the film’s fundamental conflict to life.

Shooting Schedule And Other Details

The process of making Awarapan 2 has not been without its challenges. The production recently concluded in Rajasthan after a rigorous schedule in Bangkok, Thailand. Nevertheless, filming was temporarily interrupted earlier this month due to Hashmi’s severe stomach injury that occurred during a high-intensity action scene.

It has been stated that the actor had minor surgery to repair a tissue tear, but he is already back on set to make sure everything stays on schedule. While Hashmi is presently confined to preserve his rehabilitation, production insiders said that the team is focusing on dramatic sequences and close-ups to keep to the timetable.

Legacy Of Awarapan

The tragic plot and lyrical music of Awarapan (2007) made it a cult classic long after it had left the theatre, solidifying its place as one of Hashmi’s most important works. The actor has said before that Bilal Siddiqui spent years on the script for the sequel to make sure it respectfully continues the original’s work instead of just cashing in on the name.

With Hashmi pledging “banger tracks” that attempt to replicate the melodic success of the original film’s score, the soundtrack is also anticipated to play a significant role in the film.
