Ayushmann Khurrana has always evolved with every project he took up showcasing his versatility in the film industry. From his debut in 2023 with ‘Vicky Donor’ to his recent hit ‘Dream Girl 2‘, the actor has been on a remarkable journey that has not only captivated the Hindi film audience but also garnered attention from the South Indian film industry.
In a recent media interaction, Ayushmann revealed his inclination towards South cinema, where his work has received substantial appreciation. He acknowledged the ‘validation from down south’ and hinted at potential collaborations in the future. While discussing his interest in South films, Ayushmann expressed his enthusiasm for working with two prominent names – Fahadh Faasil and Atlee.
The actor stated on receiving offers for south films, “There have been conversations but it should also excite me at the same time at the script level. If there’s something exciting and people are heavily invested into it, then I’ll go for it for sure.”

Atlee, the acclaimed director behind the blockbuster ‘Jawan’, also piqued Ayushmann’s interest. The actor expressed his eagerness to work with someone whose cinematic style differs from his own. He said, “I would love to collaborate with Atlee or Fahadh Faasil. I know they’re poles apart (in terms of their sensibilities). But my filmography is also the same…Dream Girl and Andhadhun belong to two ends of the spectrum.” He lauded the Malayalam film industry for its simplicity and its knack for portraying reality in its movies.
