Anek, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, was set to be released in 2021. However, due to the second wave of Covid-19, it was postponed. The filmmakers later opted to release it on March 31, 2022. The film, however, has been rescheduled and a new release date has been set. The Anubhav Sinha-starrer will now be released on May 13th, 2022. Well, it won’t be released on its own; the film will conflict with Sidharth Malhotra’s Mission Majnu, which will also be released on May 13, 2022.

Ayushmann took to Twitter to make an announcement about the new release date. He tweeted, “It takes just ONE to make a difference. Time to unite as Ek! Jeetega Kaun? This will be Anubhav Sinha’s second collaboration with Ayushmann. Prior to Anek, the director-actor combo had collaborated on the film Article 15, which earned favorable reviews and did well at the box office.

Rashmika Mandanna plays a key role in Mission Majnu. Her Bollywood debut will be in this film. The actress’ most recent film, Pushpa: The Rise, was a box office smash, and the Hindi dubbed version fared even better. It will be intriguing to watch whether Anek or Mission Majnu wins this box office battle.
