Irrfan Khan’s son Babil made a promising debut with Anvita Dutt’s Qala opposite Tipti Dimri last year. The actor, in his debut film, garnered a lot of love and appreciation from all quarters. He was then signed up by Yash Raj Films for their debut web show ‘The Railway Men’ which is based on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy and has names like R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon and Divyendu Sharma in the lead.
Now we at ETimes have exclusive info on Babil’s next project – a movie that will be helmed by makers of Jaadugar (2022), which featured Jitendra Kumar of Panchayat fame. The same producers also made the web show Home Shanti that starred Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak. The production house is backed by veterans of web content, including names like Amit Golani, Biswapati Sarkar, Sameer Saxena and Saurabh Khanna. These bigwigs have been associated with some of the most popular web shows like Permanent Roommates, Kota Factory and Pitchers, amongst others. They were also a part of The Viral Fever, but a few years ago they parted ways and started their own company called Posham Pa Pictures.
Latest Update About Babli’s Next
A source close to the development spilled the beans about the project and told us, “Babil has already begun shooting for the film and there will be a new actress introduced opposite him. The film is to be directed by Amit Golani.”
