Mithun Chakraborty’s son, Namashi Chakraborty, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the upcoming Zee Studios film, Bad Boy. As the movie’s release date draws closer, the makers have released a new track from the film, called “Janabe Ali,” which features Namashi and Amrin in the lead roles.
The highlight of the song is undoubtedly the appearance of Mithun Chakraborty, who joins his son and co-star Amrin in the song’s hook step. Mithun’s magnetic charisma and dancing skills are still as captivating as they were during his Disco Dancer days, and his brief appearance is the saving grace of an otherwise forgettable song.
The music and lyrics for “Janabe Ali” have been provided by Himesh Reshammiya, and the choreography and music have a distinctly old-school Bollywood vibe, reminiscent of the dance music that peaked around 2006-2007. The film has been directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, who is known for giving Hindi cinema some memorable films such as Andaz Apna Apna and Ghayal.
Apart from Namashi and Amrin, Bad Boy also features an ensemble cast, including Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Darshan Jariwala, and Saswata Chatterjee in significant roles. The film has been produced by Anjum Qureshi and Sajid Qureshi under the Inbox Pictures banner.
Bad Boy is all set to hit the theatres on April 28th, 2023, and fans of Mithun Chakraborty and Bollywood enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the film’s release to see Namashi’s debut performance on the big screen.
