About The Film
Bad Newz features a stellar cast with Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk, and Neha Dhupia. The film also includes special appearances by Ananya Panday and Neha Sharma. It is a spiritual successor to the 2019 hit Good Newwz, which starred Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.
In Bad Newz, Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk shine with their performances as characters dealing with the challenges of fatherhood. Triptii Dimri adds a lively touch with her role.
The story begins when Triptii’s character, Saloni Bagga, and Vicky’s character, Akhil Chadha, meet in a dramatic Bollywood-style encounter at a wedding. Akhil, who is somewhat self-centred and a “mama’s boy,” marries Saloni on a whim. Their impromptu honeymoon in Greece takes an unexpected twist when Saloni decides to live independently in Mussoorie.
There, she meets Gurbir Pannu (Ammy Virk), a respectful hotel owner. After a series of events, including a drunken night, Saloni learns she is pregnant with twins from different fathers.
As per the reports, this film has been made on a substantial budget of Rs 80 crores, which included costs for prints and advertising.
