Triptii Dimri, known for her roles in Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala, and last seen in the blockbuster Animal, is making a grand return to the big screen. This time, she stars alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk in Anand Tiwari’s upcoming film Bad Newz.
The trailer for Bad Newz dropped yesterday, captivating audiences with Triptii’s portrayal of Saloni. Her stunning looks and chemistry with co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk have helped her retain the title of National Crush.
About Bad Newz Trailer
The film centres on Triptii’s character, Saloni, as she navigates the unique and complex phenomenon of heteropaternal superfecundation. The trailer offers a refreshing mix of humour and emotions, marking Triptii’s debut in the comedy genre. It also features her first collaboration with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.
The trailer opens with a perplexed Saloni facing Neha Dhupia’s probing questions about the father of her unborn child. The suggestion of a paternity test looms large as scenes unfold, showcasing a blossoming romance between Saloni and Vicky’s character.
However, a major plot twist reveals that due to a mix-up in timelines, Saloni is unsure of the identity of her child’s father. The doctor later drops a bombshell, declaring it a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ occurrence and revealing that both Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk are the fathers of Saloni’s unborn child.
Triptii Dimri Calls Comedy ‘Most Difficult’ Genre
Eager about her comedy debut, Triptii shared, “It’s my first comedy film. I have heard somewhere that it is easy to make people cry but very hard to make people laugh. I realized this on set because comedy, I think, is the most difficult genre for me. Anand Sir and I did a lot of workshops and readings.”
Reflecting on her experience with co-stars Vicky and Ammy, she added, “I received a lot of support from both of them. Half of your work gets easier when you have good co-actors, and luckily, both of them were really supportive. Whenever I got stuck, they would go out of their way to help me. I was truly blessed to have them by my side.”
