Actress Vaani Kapoor is all set to headline the upcoming movie Badtameez Gill, a delightful mix of drama and comedy. Produced by Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films, the film promises to be a refreshing coming-of-age story.
Joining Kapoor on screen is Aparshakti Khurana, who will portray her brother, and veteran actor Paresh Rawal, set to play her father. The movie’s narrative unfolds across two vibrant settings: the quaint streets of Bareilly in northern India and the bustling city of London.
Steering the project is Navjot Gulati, known for his work in films such as Running Shaadi and Jai Mummy Di, adding anticipation for what’s to come.
Makers Reveal Why They Chose Vaani Kapoor To Lead Badtameez Gill
As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Nickky Bhagnani and Viicky Bhagnani expressed their excitement about Kapoor leading the film. They stated, “Vaani Kapoor is headlining our ambitious project Badtameez Gill that went on floors this week. She was the first and the only choice and she is perfect for the part in every way. Vaani will show her different side in our film that has its heart in the right place.”
The Bhagnanis emphasised Kapoor’s versatility, highlighting her skills in comedy and family-oriented genres. “Vaani is a top-notch actress and she hasn’t been seen in out-and-out comedies and family entertainers. We feel she will do a brilliant job in this genre. The role was written keeping in mind someone like her,” they added.

Describing Kapoor’s fit for the role, the producers noted, “We needed a gorgeous, confident girl who can be a riot for her family and her friends. Vaani is also this person in real life. So, when we met her, we knew we had found our lead. She will light up the screen with her presence and hopefully, we will entertain a lot of people with our film.”
Earlier, Box Office Worldwide exclusively reported that Vaani and the film’s cast have commenced the shooting in London. We also revealed that makers are planning for a direct digital release of this film, probably on Netflix.
Talking about her work front, Vaani Kapoor was last seen in Shamshera alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from Badtameez Gill, she now has Khel Khel Mein and Raid 2 lined up for release.
