After setting the internet ablaze with the soulful ballad Pardesiya, the makers of Param Sundari are back with another musical treat. The second song from the film, titled Bheegi Saree, is out now, and it aims to revive one of Bollywood’s most beloved traditions: the passionate and sizzling rain song. The peppy, upbeat track offers a completely different flavor from the first single, adding a new dimension to the film’s highly anticipated album.
Sizzling Chemistry in a Classic Rain Song
The music video for Bheegi Saree brings back the quintessential magic and sexiness of the Bollywood rain song, centered around the sensational chemistry of its lead pair, Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor. The duo turns on their rain-soaked charm with cool dance moves that blend romance with rhythm. Janhvi, in particular, lights up the screen in a stunning wet saree look, perfectly capturing the iconic trope.
Reflecting on the experience, Janhvi Kapoor shared that it felt surreal to be a part of such a legacy. “I’ve grown up watching some of the most iconic moments in cinema unfold in the rain, and to now be a part of that… felt like slipping into a classic Bollywood dream,” she said. Sidharth Malhotra added, “Bheegi Saree is high on energy, romance, and that classic monsoon vibe we all love. Janhvi and I had a blast shooting it!”
A Magical Musical Collaboration
The song marks the much-awaited return of Adnan Sami to Hindi playback singing, and his pairing with the evergreen Shreya Ghoshal creates a unique, flirtatious charm. The track is composed by the dynamic duo Sachin-Jigar with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Adnan Sami praised the composition as a “beautiful blend of timeless nostalgia and contemporary flair,” calling the final product a “deliciously flirtatious, playful, and romantic concoction.”
Shreya Ghoshal beautifully summed up the song’s essence, stating, “Bollywood romance is incomplete without rain, which I consider a secret ingredient; Bheegi Saree beautifully strikes the right essence of that romance.” With its stunning visuals and a powerhouse musical team, the song is a complete audio-visual treat. The “love story of the year,” Param Sundari, is scheduled to release in cinemas on August 29, 2025
