Akshay Kumar And Priyadarshan Bhooth Bangla Trailer To Drop Online First, Then Hit Cinemas With Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s long-awaited reunion is officially entering its loudest phase yet, and the promotional playbook for Bhooth Bangla is shaping up to be as ambitious as the pairing itself. With the horror-comedy locked for an April 10, 2026 theatrical release, the makers are planning a two-stage trailer rollout designed to first ignite social media, then carry that buzz straight into packed cinemas.

The move matters because Bhooth Bangla is not being positioned as a quiet genre experiment. It is being sold as a big-screen event that banks on Akshay’s comic rhythm, Priyadarshan’s controlled chaos, and the familiar comfort of an ensemble loaded with veterans and scene-stealers.

Latest Update: Bhooth Bangla Trailer Goes Digital First, Then Lands In Theatres On March 19

As of March 3, 2026, the plan is for Bhooth Bangla’s trailer to debut online in the second week of March, ahead of a theatrical attachment beginning March 19, 2026. The trailer is set to play in cinemas alongside Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, a big-ticket spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar that is slated to release on March 19.

The strategy is straightforward: go wide on digital first, then capitalise on the footfalls expected for Ranveer’s theatrical release. An insider quote carried in the report sums up the thinking: “It’s a calculated decision. The target audience overlaps significantly, and the scale of Dhurandhar 2 offers the perfect platform.”

Why The Reunion And The Cast Are A Core Part Of The Sell

Bhooth Bangla marks Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s first collaboration in 14 years, after their 2010 film Khatta Meetha. Their hit run across the 2000s included Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag and De Dana Dan, with Bhool Bhulaiyaa remaining the duo’s most iconic horror-comedy touchstone.

This time, the cast stacks several Priyadarshan regulars with fresh additions. The film features Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi and Asrani, along with Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Mithila Palkar and Jisshu U Sengupta. Music is composed by Pritam, and the soundtrack campaign has already begun with the first song Ram Ji Aake Bhala Karenge, sung by Armaan Malik and Aarvan.
