As we all know, Akshay Kumar is teaming up with Priyadarshan for a new horror comedy called Bhooth Bangla. This project marks their reunion after 14 years, and fans are excited to see what they will create together.
The film aims to revive the nostalgic feel of the classic comedies from the 2000s. It will also feature Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani in important roles.
Fresh updates reveal that Wamiqa Gabbi has been chosen as one of the three female leads in Bhooth Bangla.

This casting news has generated a lot of buzz among fans. A source told Pinkvilla that Wamiqa is a great fit for her role and is a rising talent.
“Wamiqa has impressed everyone with her work in the digital world and is now all set to make it big on the theatrical medium with films like Baby John, followed by Bhooth Bangla. She has signed the dotted lines and has a solid role in Bhooth Bangla, which will evoke laughter among the cinema-going audience,” the insider said.
While details about Wamiqa’s character are still a secret, the source hinted at an interesting dynamic between her and Akshay Kumar.
“Apart from Wamiqa, the film will feature two more female actors. It’s a comic caper with horror elements, and three girls in the same house, alongside a mad ensemble comprising of Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani among others. More casting of Bhooth Bangla is underway,” they added.
Film To Go On Floors In Jan 2025
Bhooth Bangla is set to begin filming in January 2025, with a planned release in the last quarter of the year. Before starting this new project, Akshay will finish a major shooting schedule for Housefull 5 in Mumbai. This schedule is expected to start in the first week of November and will last about 50 days, bringing the whole Housefull crew together for a fun time.
Additionally, Akshay is preparing to film another comedy, Welcome to the Jungle, which is anticipated to be released by the end of 2025. With so many projects in the pipeline, Akshay Kumar is certainly keeping himself busy.
