The release of Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, was postponed earlier this week. The film was planned to be released next year on Valentine’s Day weekend. The film’s producers have already confirmed that it would be released on April 14, 2022, the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi. After announcing the postponement, the filmmakers planned to release the film on April 14, 2022.

This will put the movie in direct competition with Prabhas’ Salaar and Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya. Both films’ release dates were revealed months in advance. On the same day, the much anticipated KGF 2 will be released. While other directors have shifted release dates to prevent confrontations, it is unclear whether any of the filmmakers would budge from the April 14 release date.

Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan and also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, is the official version of Forrest Gump. Naga Chaitanya makes his Hindi debut in this film.
