Bob Biswas, starring Abhishek Bachchan, has a trailer out today that will leave you perplexed. Bob Biswas got his own spin-off film, nine years after first encountering him in Sujoy Ghosh’s brilliant Kahaani.
The character is introduced in the trailer, and we learn that he has lost his memory and has no recollection of being a hired assassin. When he is recruited to kill once more, he begins to question his acts’ morality. The trailer also teases the possibility that Bob is lying about his illness to deceive everyone.
The Bob Biswas spin-off, which was previously played by Saswata Chatterjee, has long been demanded by Kahaani fans. The character had a little role in the Vidya Balan film, but he made a big impression as a cold-blooded serial killer who pretended to be an insurance agent. The audience was stunned by his forgettable everyman appearance.
Chitrangada Singh, Paran Bandopadhyay, Ronith Arora, and Samara Tijori also star in Bob Biswas. Diya Annapurna Ghosh directed the film, which was produced by Sujoy Ghosh, Gauri Khan, and Gaurav Verma.
In an earlier conversation with indianexpress.com, Abhishek spoke about the film and said, “Bob Biswas is a very popular character which I only realised after I signed the film. So I feel once you get the look right, it is half the battle won. I am happy that people approved of the look. That’s a huge boost for me and the film.” Bob Biswas is set to release on ZEE5 on December 3.
