Boycott Gang Losing It: After Laal Singh Chaddha & RakshaBandhan, Now Alia Bhatt’s Darlings Is Being Targeted

The boycott trend has taken over the internet once again and everyone has a lot to say.

Alia Bhatt is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming Netflix film, Darlings. The actress plays the role of Badrunissa Shaikh, a survivor of domestic violence. The movie also co-stars Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah, and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles.

As expected, the film has drawn in a sizable audience, but concurrently, the hashtag “boycott Alia Bhatt” is trending on Twitter. The film’s promotion of domestic violence has some upset just one day before its scheduled premiere. In the movie, Vijay portrays her husband, Hamza, and the trailer demonstrated how the mother-daughter team kidnaps him as retaliation for beating her up.

Alia’s character goes to great lengths to exact revenge on the man, including striking him and submerging his face in water. People on the internet believe that the movie is celebrating and inciting domestic violence as a result. While the movie centers mostly on how Alia’s character is treating Hamza the way she has been treated, netizens feel differently.

As a result, the boycott trend has taken over the internet once again and everyone has a lot to say.

However, some have good arguments on their side when they speak out against the boycott Alia Bhatt movement. Some people think that before the hashtag trended on social media, everyone should see the trailer.
