Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra released on September 9 starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan. Moviegoers have applauded the film and performances, especially on VFX, Shah Rukh’s cameo appearance in a large dark room. The film landed on Disney+ Hotstar on November 4, 2022.
The latest bollywood news is that Ayan stated that they will make the sequel soon, further saying nobody will watch if they take 10 more years. On its cast, he remarked, “There’s no answer for this question yet. We’ll have to wait.”
“We’re at it. (It will take) a couple of years. And that’s one hundred percent better than ten years. If we take another ten years, nobody will come to watch Brahmastra 2. We’re going to get it ready much before that,” News18 quoted Ayan as saying.
“We have our target. We would like to make this film and have it come out three years from now. It is a tough timeline for us considering how much time part one took. But now we have also learnt how to make these kinds of films,” he had earlier told Indian Express.
It will chronicle Dev’s backstory, including the present-day timeline. Meanwhile, Ranbir, whose next is Shraddha starrer ‘TJMM’ won the award for Brahmastra, while Alia took it for Gangubai Kathiawadi at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards.
