Ayan’s directorial also stood out for the intriguing cliffhanger where the makers introduced a new character in the film and also announced the title for the second film. The second film in the astraverse universe will be called ‘Brahmastra Part 2: Dev’.
While Dev’s character hasn’t been revealed except for his silhouette, rumours are rife that either Ranveer Singh or Hrithik Roshan have been approached to play the lead role in the film. The first film does establish Dev’s character, who’s known to be another character with massive superpowers and also wants to get hold of the ‘Brahmastra’ to become the greatest power ever.
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, ‘Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva’ also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The film portrayed Mouni Roy as a deadly villain who battles with Ranbir Kapoor, Nagarjuna and Amitabh Bachchan to acquire the Brahmastra. The film also had an extended cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
