Ranveer Singh is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood right now. Starting out his career in 2010, he has acted in several commercially successful and critically acclaimed films in his career. Recently, there have been rumors that Farhan Akhtar has decided to replace Shah Rukh Khan with Ranveer Singh in the highly anticipated film, Don 3. This is because the makers are planning to reach out to the younger generation of audiences.
Recent reports suggest that Ranveer has also shot a small teaser video for the film which will be out after the release of his romantic drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The announcement video was supposed to release on Ranveer’s birthday and was even shown to many industry insiders who reportedly loved it.
However, Excel Entertainment, the production house behind the film, realized that the teaser of Prabhas starrer Salaar has also been released on July 6, which would coincide with Ranveer’s birthday. So they decided to postpone the month of July as it will see the teaser launch of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan also.
Rumours: Don 3 Will Be Announced Next Month
Since the month of July is jam-packed with teaser launches, the makers of Don 3 have decided to release their announcement video in August. This will happen if Ranveer’s forthcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani will perform well at the box office.
“It would be to capitalize on the success of the film with a new announcement. Right now, it all depends on the outcome of the Karan Johar directorial, though all around are confident that RRKPK will be the much-needed success for Ranveer,” s source said. Ranveer is expected to start shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra. After this, he will start working on Don 3 and if things go well, the film might release in 2025.
Media Casted Ranveer, Shot Teaser, Praised And Postponed
There is no official word from Excel or actor threading this. Some selected media sources announced Ranveer, reportedly saw teaser and now postponed too. This is too kiddish considering that media announced that teaser will be out today on Ranveer’s birthday. But once teaser didn’t come out today, media has invented reasons and date.
