Azaad actress Rasha Thadani might be joining Pati Patni Aur Woh 2! Reports suggest that she is being considered to replace Sreeleela in the Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar starrer.
Sreeleela is known for her work in Telugu and Kannada films. She was reportedly the top choice for the role last year. The actress is currently shooting an untitled Hindi love story in Siliguri, which also stars Kartik Aaryan. Hence, the decision to change the female lead in PPAW2 is justified.
Sources reveal that director Mudassar Aziz and the producers are now interested in casting Rasha Thadani in the comedy sequel.

According to Mid-Day, the makers of Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 want to introduce a fresh on-screen pairing. Rasha made her acting debut earlier this year with Azaad and gained attention with her song “Uyi Amma.” Though her debut film didn’t do well at the box office, she managed to impress many with her performance.
An industry insider shared, “In Basu’s film, Sreeleela and Kartik are already collaborating. The Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 team feels a new jodi will be the highlight of the film. The final decision rests with Mudassar, and he will decide after the appearance tests.”
Filming To Begin After Kartik Wraps Up Anurag Basu’s Musical Love Story
The first part of Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019) featured Ananya Panday alongside Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. The sequel’s script was finalised in 2024, and Kartik is set to reprise his role as the small-town simpleton.
Sources reveal that the film will begin production once Kartik wraps up Anurag Basu’s romantic drama. Initially, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 was set to go on floors after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, but Kartik’s packed schedule led to some changes.
