Aasmaan Bhardwaj’s Kuttey is all set to hit the theaters on January 13. Ahead of its release, Arjun Kapoor and Tabu starrer this thriller film has been reviewed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As per reports, after almost 10 changes, the film has been passed with an “A” certificate.
Most of the changes are done by adding or modifying the disclaimers. A disclaimer was added in the starting of the film that it didn’t intend to insult any police officer by any means. One more disclaimer has been added that the film is not promoting any involvement of children in crime. The size of the anti-smoking ticker has been increased in an anti-drug disclaimer.
Many changes have been done with the cuss words. In some scenes, ‘m*****d’ is replaced with ‘b****d’ while in another ‘b****d’ is also replaced with ‘b******e’ and ‘harami’. Somewhere these words are muted too and removed from the subtitles. Instead of ‘Naya naya musalman’, it’s ‘Naya naya pandu’ now.
There was a scene of the PM’s speech in which he had mentioned Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The censor board has removed the name of these states from the scene. Besides these sound changes, CBFC has also modified some frontal nudity in the intimate scenes.
On December 30, CBFC issued ‘A’ certificate after these changes and made it suitable for only 18+ audiences. According to the censor certificate, The length of the film is 1 hour and 52 minutes.
Meanwhile, Kuttey also stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Radhika Madan, Naseeruddin Shah, Kumud Mishra and Shardul Bhardwaj along with Arjun Kapoor and Tabu.
