Salman Khan is set to headline a high-octane war drama titled Battle of Galwan, and the actor’s new look for the film has already caught the attention of fans and industry watchers alike. A behind-the-scenes image shared online shows Salman in a moustache, mature avatar, sparking speculation about the scale and intensity of the project.
In the viral picture, Salman is seen sporting a short, well-groomed hairstyle, moustache and light stubble, wearing a casual printed T-shirt paired with jeans, a far cry from his usual larger-than-life on-screen persona, indicating a grounded and serious tone for the film.
Salman was recently also spotted in Mumbai sporting the full look – buzz cut, serious expression, and bulky frame, sparking further excitement. The public appearance confirmed the transformation fans had only glimpsed in his gym videos and hinted at the intense preparation behind the avatar seen in the motion poster.

Battle of Galwan: Details
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films, Battle of Galwan is inspired by the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese forces in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley. The confrontation, fought without firearms, involved brutal close combat with sticks and stones at over 15,000 feet above sea level. The motion poster prominently features the line: “Over 15,000 feet above sea level, India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet.”
The makers have officially announced that actress Chitrangda Singh will play the female lead opposite Salman Khan, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
Pre-production Begins, Shoot Planned for Ladakh
Reports indicate filming for Battle of Galwan is set to begin in August 2025, with a demanding schedule planned in Ladakh. High-altitude shoots are expected to reinforce the film’s gritty, authentic tone.
Salman Khan’s decision to embrace a character modelled on Colonel B. Santosh Babu and step into a grounded, emotionally charged role marks a noticeable shift from his recent box office disappointments. But it is this striking and intense new look that is dominating conversation—signalling not just a new image, but a potentially transformative chapter in his career.
