At the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024 on Saturday 14th September, renowned author Chetan Bhagat spoke about various topics.
Chetan Bhagat Chose Shah Rukh Among Film Stalwarts
At the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024, Chetan Bhagat praised Shah Rukh Khan. When asked which actor he admires most, Bhagat chose Shah Rukh Khan, mentioning that SRK’s manners impressed him during a visit to Mannat and also during the shoot of Om Shanti Om.
Rajdeep Sardesai asked him to choose most admirable star among Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan.
Chetan Bhagat replied, “ I am little biased because i have interacted with Shah Rukh out of these the most. They all are good actors but Shah Rukh as human being…I will give you two examples.”
“I have not done a movie with him but I have gone to his house once for some work only. I have gone to houses of many actors who have done my movies and many other actors. Shah Rukh is the only actor who walked out of his house to see me in my car. So that’s the kind of manners he has”
He further elaborated about one more incidence when he visited sets of Om Shanti Om with his mother. Shah Rukh offered a chair to his mother though no one else cared for the same on the sets.

Upcoming Film Of Shah Rukh
Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan are set to begin filming for King, an action-packed entertainer directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand in collaboration with Red Chillies Entertainment.
The highly anticipated film features SRK as a mentor and Suhana as his disciple going head-to-head with Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist.
In addition to the excitement around the filming, there’s already buzz about its release. King is aiming for an Eid 2026 premiere, a festival that has historically been a successful time for SRK’s films, most notably Chennai Express.
If all goes according to plan, King will mark Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the Eid box office, setting the stage for another blockbuster release.
