“Sardar”, a Tamil movie directed by P.S Mithran, stars Karthi in a dual role with Raashii Khanna, Chunky Pandey, Rajisha Vijayan, Laila, Murali Sharma, Ilavarasu and Munishkanth in main roles. The drama-thriller was released on October 21, 2022.

It showcases an elegant teacher discovering himself falling in love with a British woman who teaches English at the same school. He tries to lure her in the middle of a comedy of mistakes and conflicts.
The latest Kollywood news is that opening day figures show Prince taking an edge over Karthi starrer. It collected Rs. 6.50 crores approx on day one, with nearly Rs. 4.75 crores coming from Tamil Nadu and another Rs. 1.35 crores in Telugu states.
The beginning in Tamil Nadu is on a downer side for Siva Karthikeyan since Hero, which released in 2019 and made nearly Rs. 3 crores on its opening. Besides that, his films have opened over/under Rs. 6 crores over the last four-five years while the last two achieved approximately Rs 8 crores.
