Cocktail 2 has picked up a key pre-release milestone, and it is one that instantly adds a different edge to the conversation around the film. The Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna starrer has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification with an A certificate ahead of its June 19, 2026 theatrical release, making it Kriti Sanon’s first adult-rated film.

Cbfc Clears Cocktail 2 With A Certificate
The latest confirmed update is that Cocktail 2 has been passed by the CBFC with an A certificate. The film’s runtime is 150 minutes, which means the romantic comedy drama runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
That makes it slightly longer than the 2012 Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. The first film was also directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, but it had received a U/A certificate and ran for 146 minutes. The contrast in certification signals that the new film is likely leaning into a more mature treatment than its predecessor.
