It seems Taapsee Pannu has all the biopics in her kitty. Recently the actress played an elderly shooter in Saand Ki Aankh along with Bhumi Pednekar. Now as per the recent update the actress will be playing the lead role in Indian women’s cricket captain Mithali Raj’s biopic titled Shabaash Mithu.
While there were lot of speculations about the film the actress herself never confirmed. Now on the birthday of the Mithali Raj Taapsee took her social media to announce the news.
She also shared some pictures with Mithali, where the cricketer has been seen cutting the cake. Taapsee wrote, “Happy Happy Birthday Captain @mithaliraj! You have made all of us proud in more than many ways and it’s truly an honour to be chosen to showcase your journey on screen. On this Birthday of yours I don’t know what gift I can give you but this promise that I shall give it all I have to make sure you will be proud of what you see of yourself on screen with #ShabaashMithu. PS- I am all prepared to learn THE cover drive’ #HappyBirthdayCaptain (sic).”
Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu will be seen doing another biopic of athlete Rashmi from Gujarat. The film is titled as Rashmi Rocket and a motion poster of the film was dropped earlier this year.
