According to an official statement from the producers, Sanya Malhotra has finished filming the Hindi version of the legendary Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen. The movie is directed by Arati Kadav of the Cargo fame and is produced by actor-turned-producer Harman Baweja.
“As an actor, I could not have asked for a better character than I would essay in The Great Indian Kitchen. I am more than excited to start working on my role because there are so many layers and nuances to it. I am looking forward to working with Harman and Arati.” Sanya expressed her joy at landing the project by remarking when the movie’s official announcement earlier this year.
According to the most recent update, Sanya flew to Kolkata to finish filming Sam Bahadur after wrapping off the shooting for the Hindi adaptation of The Great Indian Kitchen.
The Great Indian Kitchen was first produced in Malayalam, under the direction of Jeo Baby, and starring Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu. In the guise of tradition, a married woman was exploited in the movie. Sanya will portray the role that was originally played by Nimisha.
