Nani and Keerthy Suresh’s highly anticipated film, Dasara, is set to hit theaters tomorrow and it’s already creating a buzz in the industry. According to advance bookings, the film is expected to be Nani’s highest opener by a significant margin, both in India and internationally. This is largely due to Nani’s never-before-seen avatar in the film, which has generated immense curiosity among prospective audiences. Additionally, the film’s aggressive promotion throughout the country has significantly boosted its prospects.
The pre-release theatrical business of Dasara is estimated to be around Rs 46 crores, which is the highest for any Nani starrer. The pre-biz is broken down as follows: Nizam – Rs 13 crores, Andhra – Rs 13 crores, Ceeded – Rs 6.5 crores, Karnataka – Rs 2 crores, Tamil Nadu + Kerala – Rs 1.5 crores, North India – Rs 4 crores (valued), and Overseas – Rs 6 crores.

MCA (Middle Class Abbayi) was Nani’s biggest hit, with a worldwide share of Rs 40 crores back in 2017. However, Dasara is expected to surpass this by at least a 15% margin to break even. The film’s opening day is expected to be significantly higher than MCA, with estimated earnings of around Rs 16 crores gross from its home state and Rs 4 crores gross from the rest of India, bringing the India gross total to Rs 20 crores. Additionally, another Rs 5 crores gross is expected from international markets, making the first day worldwide gross expectations around Rs 25 crores. If the reports are positive, the extended weekend should ensure that the film emerges as a theatrically safe venture.
Dasara is expected to be the biggest Indian film to release tomorrow, with Bholaa following closely behind. As per our box office estimates, Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa has an opening day box-office prediction of 13 cr nett, which apparently sees itself trailing in comparison to Dasara.
