Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who was rumored to be a part of the third season of the Emmy-winning HBO series The White Lotus, is reportedly likely to quit the show due to personal reasons. The news comes as a shock to her fans, who were eagerly waiting to see her in the acclaimed series.
Deepika Padukone likely to opt out of The White Lotus Season 3
According to reports, Deepika Padukone had agreed to play a pivotal role in The White Lotus Season 3, which is set to be filmed in Thailand. But now as reported by Subhash K Jha, a close friend of the Fighter actress informed that she is likely to opt out of The White Lotus Season 3 for personal reasons. The exact nature of her personal reasons is not known yet.
The White Lotus Season 3 is expected to premiere in 2025, and will feature new additions such as Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, and Blackpink’s Lisa, along with returning star Natasha Rothwell. Jennifer Coolidge, who played a fan-favorite role in the first season, has hinted that she will not be back for the third season.
Deepika Padukone has not yet officially confirmed or denied her involvement in The White Lotus Season 3. She was last seen in the action thriller Fighter, co-starring Hrithik Roshan, which released on January 25, 2024. She is also working on several other projects, including Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas.

The internet is buzzing with a video of the Fighter star and director Siddarth Anand. They were having a good time poking fun at each other over the actress’s speculated role in the Emmy-winning American series The White Lotus.
Siddharth seemed clueless about the show when he was questioned about her role in The White Lotus.
Deepika mocked the director, saying, “You don’t know the show The White Lotus?…He’s been very busy.” A journalist praised Deepika for her role, making her say Thank you, which indirectly verified her participation in the acclaimed series.
Siddarth humorously responded saying, “I live under a rock, apparently…Thanks for exposing me…Lotus 3? Tune bataya ni mereko?”
When they were queried about future projects together, the director said, “Where now space Lotus 3 is coming.” Deepika proposed they would work together if Siddharth chooses to make ‘Fighter 2’, to which he says in jest, “Kaise karenge? Fighter 2 aapne band kara di hai. Lotus 3 kar rahi hai..Kab time milega Deepu?”
