Directed by Siddharth Anand and Produced by Aditya Chopra, Pathaan is an upcoming drama and mystery movie set to release in 2023. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika as key lead roles. Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravijani have worked on its music.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Deepika posted a picture of her “work in progress” dubbing session. It showcased a script of ‘Pathaan’ being kept on a table under the mic.
Fans have shown excitement in the comment section by posting hearts and fire emojis. “SUPER DUPER EXCITED FOR PATHAAN” a fan remarked. Another said, “Pathaan super hit hai bosss.” There has been buzz that either teaser or trailer is around the corner.
“Deepika is a rare actor with a pan-Indian appeal like no other and having her in a film, looking the way she is, is a huge USP. We wanted to cast someone who has an appeal across gender and age and there is no bigger star in India today than Deepika Padukone. We can’t wait to unveil her character in the film when it releases only on the big screen on Jan 25th, 2023,” ANI quoted Siddharth as saying.
Pathaan becomes the fourth on-screen collaboration between Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan after ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Chennai Express’. The ‘Padmaavat’ actress will be seen in ‘The Intern’ besides Amitabh Bachchan and in a Pan-India film ‘Project-K’ starring south actor Prabhas.
