Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak is making headlines for multiple reasons ever since the film has been announced. The film is based on a true story of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agrawal.

The trailer of the film got an overwhelming response from the critics and the audience.

However, Shah Rukh Khan had been working for acid attack survivors from very long time under his initiative with Meer Foundation. He is dedicated to working towards rehabilitation of the survivors.

On various occasions, SRK has shared pictures from there meets and has been rooting for them.

In a recent interview, Deepika told about her conversation with SRK about his initiative for acid attack survivors.

She said that even though he expressed doing something for the survivors during the shoot of Happy New Year or Chennai Express, but he didn’t reveal that he had already started doing it.

The star also mentioned that only when she started filming the movie, she got to know about Shah Rukh’s Meer foundation.

She was happy and surprised to know that he is doing what he wanted to do.
