Saif Ali Khan is all set to make his grand debut in Telugu cinema with Devara: Part 1, and he’s bringing some serious Omkara vibes along with him.
At the recent trailer launch, the actor revealed how his performance in Omkara continues to receive love 18 years later. Both Jr NTR, who stars in Devara, and director Koratala Siva were impressed by his role in Omkara and sought him out for this Telugu action drama.

“I am glad that Tarak ji (Jr NTR) and Siva sir wanted me for this role. They saw Omkara and remembered it. I should still thank Vishal ji for that,” Saif shared during the event in Mumbai.
His character in Devara: Part 1, named Bhaira, isn’t your typical villain. Instead, Saif describes him as an anti-hero, with layers that go beyond being a straightforward antagonist.
He revealed, “It’s a very interesting character. There’s a young version, there’s an older version, there’s crazy make-up. It’s more of an anti-hero than a straight antagonist. There are many layers to it.”
Devara: Part 1 not only marks Saif’s entry into the Telugu film industry but also introduces Janhvi Kapoor to the world of Telugu cinema. Janhvi will be playing the love interest of Jr NTR’s character, adding more intrigue to the plot.
The Trailer For This Jr NTR Was Released Recently
The trailer, which was unveiled at the event, gave audiences a glimpse of the intense action sequences and face-offs between Saif’s Bhaira and Jr NTR’s character.
Set in a world where Saif’s character rules without fear, the arrival of Jr NTR’s character turns everything upside down. While they may shake hands, Bhaira clearly has a bigger plan to bring down the man who threatens his dominance.
