Earlier in 2023, fans speculated about a collaboration when Parineeti shared a candid picture with Deven on Instagram. Now the confirmation has come up on the same note. In a recent conversation, Deven confirmed that he and Parineeti are both in lead roles in an OTT film, which is not a comedy – a turn for the actor known for his role as Rosesh Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.
It Is Not Your Conventional Rom-Com, Confirms Deven Bhojani
Bhojani confirmed that the story does not have all the conventional romantic elements. “The chemistry on screen is different,” he said. “This is not your stereotypical romantic couple.” While he would not divulge the name of the director, sources say that the film is being directed by Dhruv Tripathi, a first-time director.
Bhojani also clarified that his work on OTT is not a comic like his previous roles on television, such as Sumit Sambhal Lega, signalling a clear shift in his story decision-making.

Bhojani opened up about his initial placement doubts, saying he had some preconceived ideas when he first started working with Bollywood star Chopra, having seen her in some amount of hits such as Uunchai. However, those were gone once they got into shooting.
“Her grounded nature and professionalism blew me away,” he stated. “We bonded and supported each other and even gossiped between scenes.”

This upcoming project makes the move for Deven Bhojani from television to a new form of digital storytelling. Instantly after his performance in Black White & Gray – Love Kills, Deven Bhojani now joins the OTT scene and admits he is “very happy being recognised by OTT creators for versatility and depth”.
Reports indicate the narrative revolves around a middle-aged man up against contemporary standards in a love story…also a rarely seen angle in Indian mainstream or digital storytelling.
