Dhakad Ram Bishnoi, Who Had Sent A Death Threat Email To Salman Khan, Arrested By Mumbai Police In Jodhpur

Lawrence Bishnoi had earlier expressed his intention to kill Salman Khan, stating that it was his life's goal.

In a recent development in the case of threats against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the Mumbai Police arrested a man named Dhakad Ram Bishnoi in Jodhpur. Bishnoi, a resident of Siyagon ki Dhani in Rohicha Kalan village, was reportedly out on bail under the Arms Act. He was arrested by a team from Mumbai’s Bandra Police, who had arrived to apprehend him with the assistance of Jodhpur’s police department.

The threat against Salman Khan’s close associate, Jordy Patel, had been made via email, allegedly by a gangster named Lawrence Bishnoi, along with Goldy Brar and Rohit Garg. Following the complaint filed by Salman’s friend Prashant Gunjalkar, a case was registered at the Bandra Police Station in Mumbai against the three under IPC sections 506(2),120(b) & 34.

In light of the threat, the Mumbai Police had increased Salman Khan’s security measures, including providing him with Y-plus security and a bullet-proof car for travel. Additionally, the police had stationed two Assistant Police Inspector (API)-rank officers and eight to ten constables round the clock at Salman’s residence to ensure his safety. Fans were also barred from assembling outside the actor’s home.

Lawrence Bishnoi had earlier expressed his intention to kill Salman Khan, stating that it was his life’s goal. He had also demanded an apology from the actor for allegedly humiliating his society, and warned that there would be consequences if he did not receive one.

“There is anger in our society for Salman Khan. He humiliated my society. A case was filed against him but he did not apologize. If he does not tender an apology, be ready to face the consequences. I will not depend on anyone else. Will break his ego sooner or later. He should come to our deity’s temple and apologize. If our society forgives, then I will not say anything,” ABP quoted Bishnoi as saying.

With the arrest of Dhakad Ram Bishnoi, the police are likely to delve deeper into the connection between the individuals named in the threat and Salman Khan. The incident has once again highlighted the security concerns of celebrities in India, who often receive threats from individuals or groups with vested interests.
