Dhurandhar The Revenge Makers Condemn Fake AI Image, Say Sikh Portrayal In Film Was Handled With Dignity

A sharp statement from the team behind Dhurandhar The Revenge has now put an end to the controversy around a morphed visual circulating online. As debate intensified over an image that falsely appeared to show the film’s character Hamza, also identified as Jaskirat, smoking while wearing a turban, the makers stepped in to call it what they said it was: fabricated content designed to mislead audiences and stir trouble.

In the note, the team said they were “deeply grateful & indebted for the overwhelming love that Dhurandhar The Revenge has received from audiences across the country and the world,” before addressing the manipulated material directly. According to the statement, “certain individuals are circulating manipulated visuals, by morphing officially released promotional material using artificial intelligence to create false and misleading narratives.”

Makers Address The Viral Image

The clarification centered on one specific image that has been shared online as if it were an official still from the film. The makers said, “One such fabricated image falsely depicts the character Hamza/Jaskirat smoking while wearing a turban. This is completely untrue and does not form part of the film or any official material released by us.” They further described it as “a deliberate act of misrepresentation intended to provoke and create mischief.”

That direct pushback is significant because the controversy touches on religious sensitivity and screen representation, both of which can quickly escalate online when doctored visuals are passed off as authentic. The team took care to draw a clear line between the fake image and the actual content of the film, urging viewers to judge the work only through official material and the finished feature itself.

Sikh Representation Addressed In Unequivocal Terms

The strongest part of the statement was its message on intent and portrayal. The makers said, “I hold the highest respect for the Sikh community, and every portrayal in the film has been handled with utmost sensitivity, dignity, and responsibility.” They also called any suggestion to the contrary “malicious and dishonest.”

The note ended with a warning and an appeal. Audiences were urged to “rely only on official content and watch the film as it is intended,” while those behind the misinformation campaign were told that “such acts will be dealt with firmly.”

As things stand, the latest confirmed development is not a content dispute from the film itself, but the makers’ formal rejection of an AI-generated image they say has no connection to Dhurandhar The Revenge. Their response makes the film’s position clear: the viral visual is fake, and the portrayal at the center of the row was handled with care.
