In a mark of respect for veteran actor Dharmendra’s health and the victims of the Delhi blast, the makers of Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar have postponed the film’s much awaited trailer launch. The grand event was scheduled to take place on November 12 at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in BKC, Mumbai. However, it has now been pushed by a week, with a new date to be announced soon.
Since November 10, the entire film industry and millions of moviegoers have been deeply concerned about the health of 89 year old Dharmendra, who has been admitted at Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai. Given the circumstances, the team decided it would not be appropriate to proceed with such a major promotional event.
Why The Event Was Postponed
Sources close to the development revealed that the trailer of Dhurandhar was set to be unveiled in a grand fashion on Wednesday, November 12. However, due to Dharmendra’s condition, the filmmakers felt this was not the right time to release the trailer. Ranveer Singh, director Aditya Dhar, and everyone else associated with the film are huge fans of the veteran actor and have been very worried ever since his hospitalization.
The decision was also influenced by the tragic blast that took place in Delhi on November 10. As a mark of respect to the victims and families affected by the incident in the National Capital, Jio Studios, B62 Studios, Ranveer Singh, and other stakeholders unanimously agreed to postpone the event. The team will announce a new date for the trailer launch soon.
A Grand Event For 2000 Fans
The Dhurandhar trailer launch was planned as a massive event. Nearly 2000 fans were reportedly going to be part of the trailer launch, making it one of the biggest promotional events of the year. The action entertainer features an impressive ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan alongside Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
The film has already generated tremendous buzz among audiences, and fans have been eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the trailer. The postponement, though disappointing for fans, has been met with understanding given the sensitive circumstances.
Tere Ishk Mein Music Event Also Cancelled
Dhurandhar is not the only event affected by these circumstances. A spectacular music launch event for Tere Ishk Mein was also planned for November 11 at the iconic Royal Opera House in Mumbai. The event was set to be attended by Dhanush, Kriti Sanon, director Aanand L Rai, producer Bhushan Kumar, and music composer A R Rahman, who was scheduled to perform the songs live.
However, in the afternoon of November 11, the organizers informed the media that the event had been cancelled due to the concerning health condition of Dharmendra.
