Dilip Kumar, the tragedy king of Bollywood, died early this morning, July 7, at 7.30 a.m. in Mumbai’s Khar Hinduja Hospital. The passing of one of Hindi cinema’s most recognisable performers has left a huge hole. Several Bollywood and South celebrities flocked to social media to pay their final respects to the late actor, who died at the age of 98.
Akshay Kumar penned an emotional note on Twitter, “To the world many others may be heroes. To us actors, he was The Hero. #DilipKumar Sir has taken an entire era of Indian cinema away with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Om Shanti (sic),” he tweeted.
