Earlier it was reported that filmmaker Shaad Ali is all set to direct Diljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam in his next film. The makers have in fact Started with pre-production and had planned to start the shooting from October in Nainital. However now according to the information Diljit has backed off from the project due to creative differences.
“The film talks about the subject of male pregnancy and considering the sensitiveness of the topic Diljit wanted the film to deal with it in a certain way. He was excited when Shaad narrated this idea to him a few months back and immediately gave his nod. However, he was disappointed when he read the final draft of the script recently. Diljit was not happy with the way the movie’s script has shaped up and felt Shaad’s narrative would face backlash from the religious bodies. It was not how he had envisioned the project and hence decided to back out of it,” A source was quoted by a daily as saying.
Now as per the information since Diljit has left the film Shaad Ali and the producers have left empty-handed. Now the makers are trying to get Diljit on board again. However as per the reports it would be very difficult to get him back.
The report also suggests that Shaad may hold his film and move to words his next project which is a web series for an OTT.
