Diljit Dosanjh has questions about the kind of wrath he faced for filming Sardaar Ji 3 with Pakistani artist Hania Aamir, thus causing the movie’s ban in India post Pahalgham attack. The Punjab-based singer-actor questions how India now plays Ind vs Pak matches and it does not face the same consequences his film faced back when it was supposed to release in theatres.
For the uninitiated, FWICE had demanded a ban on the artist as well in India for filming Sardaar Ji 3 with Hania, even when Diljit clarified that his movie was shot way before the attack.

During his Malaysia concert, Diljit Dosanjh clarified that the filming of Sardaar Ji 3 took place before the Pahalgam terror attack, while the India-Pakistan cricket match happened afterward. He emphasized his respect for the Indian flag and stated that Punjabis and the Sikh community are always loyal to the nation. “When my film Sardaarji 3 was shot in February, the matches were being played,” he said in Punjabi. “After that, the tragic Pahalgam terror attack happened. At that time, and even now, we have always prayed that the terrorists should receive strict punishment. The difference is that my film was shot before the attack, and the match was played after the attack,” he added.

Diljit felt that the media tried to portray him as anti-National, ‘but a true Punjabi and Sikh could never go against the Nation,’ were his thoughts.
Diljit Dosanjh chose silence during the time. He stated that despite having answers to every allegation, he chose to not entertain that ‘poison.’ “Whoever tells you anything, you shouldn’t take that poison inside you. I have learned that from life. So I didn’t say anything,” he signed off.
