Helmed by Pawan Kripalani, the psychological thriller film stars Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, Chitrangada Singh. This is the first collaboration of all three stars. The official release date is yet to be announced soon.
The latest bollywood news is that the movie will directly release on OTT platform Disney plus hotstar. Sara announced co-stars two months back on Instagram. Importantly, this genre of movie has worked better on OTT in comparison to cinemas in the past.
“Gaslight is a psychological thriller with a strikingly unconventional plot, which might not be of interest to theatre-going audiences. This genre of movies has worked better on OTT than in cinemas in the past, and hence the makers have decided to give it a digital release as that would give the film a better reach besides the financial safety that comes with it,” Bollywood Hungama quoted its source as saying.
Pawan’s previous directorial venture was the horror-comedy Bhoot Police starring Arjun Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez while the last thriller was the Phobia starring Radhika Apte.
