Kartik Insisted To Reshoot ‘Chappal’ Scene
During a recent interview, Sameer Vidwans, the director of Satyaprem Ki Katha, revealed an interesting anecdote about the chappal scene in the film. According to Sameer, the objective of the scene was to convey Sattu’s anger without resorting to a physical action sequence, as it was crucial for the character to remain true to his nature. However, Sameer was pleasantly surprised by Kartik Aaryan’s performance in that particular scene.
While shooting the chappal sequence from various angles, Kartik approached Sameer and expressed his desire to re-enact the scene. He assured Sameer that if it didn’t meet expectations, it could be removed during editing. Kartik proceeded to reshoot the scene, wherein he portrayed Sattu beating up a man with a ‘chappal,’ but what truly amazed everyone was the moment he started crying. The intensity of Kartik’s tears sent shivers down their spines, leaving them all in awe.
In addition, Sameer Vidwans disclosed that after completing the sequence, he approached Kartik and inquired about the remarkable performance.
