Kangana Ranaut is facing tough times at box office for last few years. Except Manikarnika, almost every film of her bite dust at box office. Her last solo releases Chandramukhi 2 and Dhaakad were massive disaster, her multilingual release Thalaivi was below par too. Judgmental Hai Kya, Simran, Pangaa, Rangoon, Katti Batti were massive disappointments too.
Tejas, starring Kangana Ranaut, debuted on OTT Zee5 a few days ago. The movie bombed at the box office, and things don’t seem to be going well on OTT either. Upon viewing the movie on a streaming service, many expressed their disappointment and said it is probably one of the worst movies released in 2023.
One has to remember that most of the flop films do find some audience on ott and manage to salvage some pride. But it seems Kangana will deliver first disaster on ott too with Tejas.
A reddit user shared a scene from the film and it triggered a lot of reactions from people.
One wrote, “Saw it yesterday only thing I could say the film didn’t have the hold. Like it was not something that would make u sit. And I have watched whole cringe dramas with awful dubbing.”
Another added, “My school teacher who directed our dramas for annual function was a better director than this.”
A third went on to add, “Nobody is trolling this film. since nobody actually saw the film.”
A fourth added, “This is comically bad.. kangana is very lucky people don’t take potshots at her like she does all the time.”
Kangana Had Urged People To Watch Tejas In Theatres
In a video that she posted, Kangana had said in Hindi, “Friends, my film Tejas released in theatres yesterday. Whoever has seen this film, has been giving us a lot of appreciation and blessings. But friends, after Covid 19, our Hindi film industry has not been able to recover totally. 99% films are not even given a chance by the audience. I know that in today’s age, everyone has a mobile phone, and TV at home. But community viewing, in theatres which is an important part of our civilization from the very beginning. Dance, arts… every type of dance, folklores… are all essential. So, it is my earnest request to the Hindi film audience and specially the multiplex ones… if you liked Uri, Mary Kom and Neerja, you will also like Tejas.”
