For a while now, Hera Pheri 3 has been in the news. When rumours about Kartik Aaryan taking over for Akshay Kumar appeared online, the next movie became the talk of the town. Later, it was made clear that Kartik would not be taking his place in the movie but he will definitely be presented as a new character.
On the other hand, In an interview with Pinkvilla, Raaj Shaandilyaa has confirmed the news that he has been approached to direct the movie ‘Hera Pheri 3’.
The director said, “Yes it’s true. Though I’ll take the decision once I finish with Dream Girl 2. I’ll get officially involved in the scripting of the film as well, but after I am done with my ongoing commitment. Discussions keep happening but things will roll after we sign the contract and come on the same page.” It is still yet to be confirmed whether Raaj will replace Anees Bazmee or not.

Raaj Shaandilyaa is currently busy directing Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer Dream Girl 2. The film is scheduled to be released on 23 June 2023.
