Mohanlal starrer Drishyam which was released earlier follows the efforts of a father, who tries to cover-up the murder committed by his family by spinning a web of convoluted lies.
On the 60th birthday of Mohanlal, the makers announced the second part of Drishyam. The actor will be seen donning the character of Georgekutty in the sequel. The film will focus on the events that happen seven years after the high-profile case that shook a small Kerala town.
We will see the principle star cast from the first franchise aling with some new faces. Drishyam 2 will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor, who also produced Drishyam in 2013.
Drishyam collected more than 50 cr at the box office worldwide. It emerged as the highest grossing cinema in that year. The film also inspired the remakes in other languages.
