Trade analysts note this as a significant achievement, considering Dulquer has only four Telugu films to his name so far. Despite this, his fanbase in the region seems to be expanding rapidly, spurred on by the film’s advance bookings.
The movie is now expected to exceed the Rs 10 crore mark in the Telugu market alone within days, confirming Dulquer’s growing influence in the industry.
In Kerala, where Lucky Baskhar was released in a Malayalam-dubbed version, the film grossed approximately Rs 2.05 crore, even with a relatively modest release of about 175 screens across the state.
For a film originally made in Telugu, this strong opening in Dulquer’s home state speaks to his pan-Indian appeal and the positive reception of the storyline, which blends intense drama with period crime elements.
The Tamil Nadu market also contributed to Lucky Baskhar‘s debut, with collections estimated at around Rs 1 crore on opening day. While the film didn’t enjoy the same level of pre-release buzz in Tamil Nadu, its viewership is growing, thanks to excellent word-of-mouth and strong critical reception.
