During Tiku Weds Sheru Promotion, Nawazuddin Siddiqui Praises Shah Rukh Khan And Explains Why SRK Is King Of Romance

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has come a long way in Bollywood. From working as an extra and doing small roles, to literally carving a niche for himself, Nawaz has proven a lot of people wrong regarding who can achieve stardom. Recently, the talented actor has been busy promoting his romantic comedy film Tiku Weds Sheru. At one such event, he was asked about his tuning with Shah Rukh Khan and why the latter is still the King of romance even after so many years.

In the interview, Nawaz said: “Kyunki wo jiya hai, wo ishq unhone jiya hai jiske role unhone kiye hai. Aap Shah Rukh saab ki life ko hi dekho jab wo Mumbai aaye the, kyu aaye the wo, kitna chahte honge usko wo.” He further said that SRK had love and dedication within him which came out in front of the camera. Nawaz then said that acting is a very “nude” art and whatever you have within, will be in front of the audience.

Nawaz and Shah Rukh Khan shared the screen space in the 2017 crime drama film Raees, directed by Rahul Dholakia. In the film, SRK played the role of gangster turned politician Raees Alam while Nawaz portrayed ACP Jaideep Ambalal Majmudar.

Directed by Sai Kabir, Tiku Weds Sheru is a romantic drama film starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur. The film is produced by Kangana Ranaut under her banner Manikarnika Films. It released on 23 June on Amazon Prime Video. The film sparked controversy lately after a kissing scene between Nawaz and Avneet went viral. Nawaz then went on to defend their massive age gap and said that age does not define romance.
