ED Questions Liger Actor Vijay Deverakonda For 12 Hours Who Says ‘By Being Popular, There Will Be Few Troubles And Side Effects’

According to the allegation, the ED also called Liger producer Charmme Kaur in for questioning on November 17 in addition to Vijay.

Actor Vijay Deverakonda from Telugu, who made his Hindi feature debut in August with Liger, was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate for 12 hours. He briefly addressed the controversy around the investment and possible unlawful funding in the movie’s production as he left the ED office on Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

“By getting popularity, there will be few troubles and side effects. It is an experience, it’s life. I did my duty when I was called, I came and answered the questions. They did not call me again.” After being questioned, Vijay Deverakonda spoke to the media, according to NDTV.

The movie reportedly cost Rs. 120 crore to produce. As a result of its box office failure, the South Asian distributors and filmmaker Puri Jagannadh have been at odds.

According to the allegation, the Enforcement Directorate also called Liger producer Charmme Kaur in for questioning on November 17 in addition to Vijay. A “violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, or FEMA,” which considers the cross-border transaction, was allegedly made. In the film, which reportedly had a budget of Rs 50 crore, Ananya Panday played the lead alongside Vijay. At the box office, “Liger” did horribly and only made Rs 20 crore nett. In the movie “Liger,” which came out in August of this year, Vijay played a fighter. Additionally, Puri’s next film, “Jana Gana Mana,” which stars Vijay Devarakonda in the lead, is being investigated by the agency.
