Actress Kangana Ranaut was last seen in “Dhaakad,” and is working tirelessly on her upcoming film, “Emergency.” She will be seen playing the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie. The actress announced the release of the first look on Thursday in her Instagram story on Wednesday.
She wrote, “Subscribe to the official YouTube channel of @manikarnikafilms …and watch Emergency first look tomorrow.” Have a look:

Kangana has enlisted the help of Oscar-winning makeup artist David Malinowski to perfect the look. He received an Oscar for The Darkest Hourbest’s makeup and hairstyling. Following “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi,” this will be Kangana’s second film in the director’s chair. Last year, she made the movie announcement. She wrote, “Pleased to wear director’s hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira.”
Kangana’s most recent movie, “Dhaakad,” didn’t do well at the box office. It competed alongside “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
