On-screen and off-screen, the Indian film industry is recognised for its love and passion. Just as Bollywood has provided us with some incredible romantic storylines in its films, it has also provided us with some inspiring real-life love stories. Let’s take a look at some of the most lovable love stories of Bollywood here:

Dilip Kumar-Saira Bannu:

After seeing Kumar’s 1952 film Aan, the actor fell in love with him, and the couple married in 1966, when she was 22 and Kumar was 44. Kumar had a contentious affair with a Pakistani lady named Asma Rehman in the 1980s, which caused the pair to have a rocky phase in their relationship. Kumar ended his relationship with Rehman two years later and returned to Banu. Despite this, the pair did not divorce and remained together.

Rishi Kapoor-Neetu Kapoor:

Rishi and Neetu, unlike many renowned love stories, did not fall in love at first sight. On the sets of their first film together, ‘Zehreela Insaan,’ in 1974, the actors met for the first time. He was dating someone else at the time and would frequently enlist her assistance in wooing her, but he soon realised that Neetu was the one for him.

Neetu Kapoor & Rishi Kapoor were regarded as one of Bollywood’s golden couples, and their love journey is iconic. The couple had been married for four decades, and their strong bond shone through whenever they spoke about one another.

Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan:

Jaya Bachchan was the first to acknowledge she had grown feelings for Amitabh Bachchan, and her feelings got stronger over time. It was only Ek Nazar’s sets that served as Cupid for Amitabh, and their story had taken a pleasant turn. The enraged young man was smitten by the Bengali beauty.

Their love affair took a crucial turn right before the release of Zanjeer (1973), when their friends imposed a condition that if the film was a success, they would travel to London. This time, it was Amitabh’s parents who turned down his London trip, claiming that he couldn’t date a girl unless he married her. Rather of being depressed by their ‘no,’ Amitabh made the largest step in his love life and decided that now was the proper time to take the wedding vows.

Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan:

The love affair of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Chhibber has stood the test of time, including a period when her parents were opposed to the couple’s interfaith marriage and they had to fight the odds to make it happen.

After dating for a while, SRK decided to propose to Gauri Khan, he chose to ask her after he dropped her off at her house in his car. Shah Rukh asked Gauri if she would marry him as soon as she stepped out of the car. But Shah Rukh was so nervous that he sped away before Gauri could respond. Fortunately, the answer was yes!

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have been married for 30 years and have become the most popular couple in the world. The duo appears to be having a great time together and is giving us huge couple goals. They are the Bollywood industry’s power couple.

Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna:

During the filming of International Khiladi in 1999, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna met and fell in love. The couple has been married for more than 20 years and are unquestionably significant ‘couple goals’ for everyone.

Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar are one of Bollywood’s most popular and adorable couples right now, and despite numerous obstacles, the duo has managed to stay strong together and set an example for the rest of the world.
