When it comes to the Hindi film industry, the novel coronavirus has thrown a wrench in every attempt to premiere films in theatres, just as it does in every other industry. Films have been sitting in cans for the past two years as the COVID-19 virus spreads and mutates, engulfing the country in the second wave of devastation.

However, there appears to be a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel. Theatres might begin to reopen by the end of 2021 with all of the Covid safeguards in place.

The year 2021 will showcase some of the most significant Bollywood projects ever. In the following months, several of the Bollywood Upcoming Movies in the pipeline by great directors will finally get a proper theatrical release. After a long absence, it’s finally time to mark your calendars for the most anticipated releases of the year.

Pathan:
Shah Rukh Khan has upset his fans by taking the longest break from acting that he has ever taken. Fans have been eagerly waiting for an official announcement of his upcoming release for more than two years since he took a break from the big screen. According to rumors, Pathan will be his next film, in which he will star alongside Deepika Padukone.

Sooryavanshi:
We’re all aware of Akshay Kumar’s hectic schedule throughout the year. The actor is known for announcing three to four films per year, and he is a living example of hard work and dedication to his trade. Last year, Sooryavanshi was one of the most well-received trailers after the launch. This film, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Katrina Kaif, was supposed to be another addition to the director’s cop universe.

83:
Kabir Khan’s directorial 83 was one of the most talked-about Bollywood films last year due to its subject, star cast, and production grandeur. It is still highly anticipated as it approaches its release in 2021. The film 83 tells the narrative of India’s maiden World Cup victory in 1983. In the film, Ranveer Singh plays Kapil Dev, the leader of the underdog squad, while Deepika Padukone plays Kapil’s wife.

Gangubai Kathiawadi:
This film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is one of the most anticipated films of 2021. Gangubai Kathiawadi has received a lot of media attention since it was revealed. According to sources, Bhansali was planning to cast Priyanka Chopra in the starring role, but Alia Bhatt was cast instead. Gangubai, Kamathipura’s most feared and respected madam, will be played by Bhatt.

KGF Chapter 2:
With the sequel of KGF, Kannada superstar Yash will return. The two-part fictional mob thriller follows the exploits of Rocky, a notorious mobster. It will also star Sanjay Dutt as Adheera, the story’s antagonist. On January 8, 2021, the teaser will be released.

Jayeshbhai Jordar:
Ranveer Singh will portray a Gujarati man in Jayeshbhai Jordar. The film is set in Gujarat and is directed by newbie writer-director Divyang Thakkar. Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi are among the other cast members, and Shalini Pandey makes her acting debut in the film.

Shamshera:
Shamshera is a forthcoming Hindi-language period action drama movie. The film is produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Karan Malhotra. Ranbir Kapoor plays the protagonist, and Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist.

Maidaan:
Ajay Devgn’s film is the genuine biography of Syed Abdul Rahim, one of India’s best football coaches, inspired the film. From 1950 until he died in 1963, Rahim was the manager of the Indian national side and is credited with redefining modern Indian football.

Laal Singh Chaddha:
Aamir Khan has earned the title of a perfectionist with justification. The actor spends the most time preparing for each of his films, and they are all unique. Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ popular Hollywood film Forrest Gump. Kareena Kapoor Khan co-stars alongside the lead actor in the Hindi rendition. In the Hindi adaptation, Aamir Khan plays Tom Hank.

RRR:
The lives of two great independence fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, will be the subject of SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated spectacular historical drama. Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris feature in the film. The multilingual film is rumored to have a budget of Rs 450 crore.

Brahmastra:
The ambitious Ayan Mukerji-directed superhero tale, which has been marketed as the first half of a trilogy, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor. Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy also star in the flick.

Thalaivi:
Thalaivi is a biopic of late Tamil politician J. Jayalalithaa, starring Kangana Ranaut. The bilingual film will follow the late leader’s path from the silver screen to politics. It stars Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Madhoo, and Bhagyashree and is directed by AL Vijay.
