Akshay Kumar’s RakshaBandhan falls in trouble. The trailer of this Aanand L Rai directorial which also stars Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead was released yesterday. Now the plot of Load Wedding, directed by Nabeel Qureshi and starring Fizza Ali Meerza, appears to have had a significant influence on the RakshaBandhan trailer.
In the story of Raksha Bandhan, a guy has four sisters, and he feels tremendous pressure to wed each of them first. He owns a business and is unable to provide his sisters with a sizable dowry. As a result, his true love, Bhumi Pednekar, accuses him of being weak for not speaking up. Her father accuses the man of remembering nothing else save the vow he made to his deceased mother. The bad effects of dowry are combined with humour and dramatic emotion in Aanand L Rai’s movie.
However, some Pakistani audience found similarities between the story of this Alshay starrer with the Pakistani film Load Wedding which is a social comedy addressing wedding stigmas, pressure on single or bereaved women in society, and dowry expectations. The film was released in August 2018.
Well, now Pakistani fans started mocking Akshay Kumar’s film as soon as they found out the similarities. Take a look at some of the tweets here:
